Photography studio available for shooting and working in a creative warehouse space - a purpose-built cyclorama downstairs and office space upstairs!
Book it last minute or in advance (subject to shared availability) - up to 12 hours per month is included with our Casual Membership of $320/month.
Black Door Studio has a huge 6x6m cyclorama, just a few minutes walk from Central and Redfern Stations. We are looking for someone lovely to share our fantastic, convenient and central space.
CASUAL MEMBERSHIP: $320/month
This gets you 12 hours of photography studio shooting time a month.
This is a discounted rate on our normal day rates!
Would suit a freelance photographer or someone who needs access to a studio within a limited budget.
Price is all-inclusive.
Membership is limited to ensure studio availability for all members, with studio time booked using a shared calendar. The studio is available for immediate start, with one month refundable bond required at the beginning. Minimum term is 6 months. Public Liability insurance is required. Alternative arrangements may be available; please contact us to discuss.
FACILITIES
The photography studio is on the ground floor (approx 95sqm total), so it’s easy to load/unload equipment. There are shared kitchen facilities and bathroom upstairs. The first floor is a warehouse office space shared between architects/designers/photographers. The building is home to several other creative industries, and is one minute walk away from Central Park, Brickfields bakery, cafes, art galleries, etc. It's also nearby to equipment rental shops (The Front) located in Redfern / Central.
Built-in shutters allow shooting in blackout or natural light - we also have reflective surfaces, polyboards and stands for general use - also Wi-Fi, mirrors, drop sheets, ladders, and trolleys on wheels suitable for laptops etc.
Street parking is available.
TIME
The studio has a security code access door and alarmed security system, with access possible 7 days a week. We try to keep photography shoots within 7am - 9pm but we are flexible; just call us to discuss. Studio time is bookable by an online calendar; subject to shared availability.
Current residents work across fashion, still life, food, portraiture, and commercial photography.
PRICING TERMS
Price is not subject to GST currently.
The price advertised is all-inclusive.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
We require all organisations that use the space to have $20M Public Liability Insurance to cover the use of the studio (this is usually a standard amount offered with most insurance policies).
LEASE CONDITIONS
6 month or longer term lease available.
